I left Vietnam on April 30, 1975 by myself, when I was fourteen years old. A few people, including one of my professors, had suggested that I should write about my life. I struggled with this idea on and off for the last ten years. I didn't want to write about myself, because I found it too difficult, perhaps too self revealing. So, I focused on writing poetry and other expository and editorial type of writings. But, I think it is finally time for me to write about myself. I believe my story will help others like me, who continue to struggle for acceptance and belonging.

It will take time for me to write this story, but I will put each chapter on the web as soon as I am finished writing it.
